Baku – APA. A bomb went off on the Russian plane A321 belonging to Kogalimavia Company, causing it to crash in the Sinai Peninsula, Alexander Bortnikov, director of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), said at the meeting with President Vladimir Putin, APA reported citing RBK.
He said traces of foreign-made explosives were discovered on the remnants of the plane.
Putin said the criminals responsible for the crash will be found.
“The killing of our people in Sinai is one of the bloodiest incidents in terms of the casualty numbers. We are not going to wipe our tears. But it will not stop us from finding the criminals and punishing them. Our air operations in Syria should not only continue but intensify,” said the Russian president.
