Moscow. Farid Akbarov – APA. Since the beginning of 2016, one terrorist attack has been neutralized, 48 militants and more than 300 people affiliated to them have been detained in the North Caucasus, said Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) director Alexander Bortnikov.
In addition, 95 militants and 15 armed groups comprising leaders of Kabardino-Balkaria and Dagestan groups have been eliminated during the reporting period, Bortnikov told a meeting of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee, APA’s correspondent reported from Moscow.
Bortnikov emphasized the need to intensify the efforts of civil society institutions in preventing terrorist propaganda on the internet and youth involvement in terrorist activities.
