Baku. Rufat Ahmadzada – APA. Russia’s active relations with Asia are not an alternative to those with the West, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov Lavrov said during a government meeting in the lower house of parliament, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.
Referring to the Ukrainian crisis, Lavrov said that the processes in Ukraine are the result of the West policy.
“For 25 years, the West has been trying to strengthen its security and expand its geopolitical space by undermining others’ security”, he said.
He also accused Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk of trying to return to the
Geneva format and reject the Minsk process. According to him, the ones who intend to cast doubt on the Minks agreement raise the format of talks in which Donetsk and Luhansk regimes will not be represented.
