Poroshenko confirmed the plan of admission of foreign troops on the territory of Ukraine

Baku-APA. President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko confirmed the plan of admission of foreign troops on the territory of Ukraine in 2016. According to this document, in the teachings of the Ukraine can be involved several thousand troops from NATO, APA reports quoting Reuters.

The corresponding decree was published on Saturday, December 26 at the official website of the President of Ukraine. The document states that up to five thousand troops from the US and NATO with military equipment, including 12 aircraft and helicopters, in the framework of "Partnership for Peace" allowed on the territory of Ukraine for the period up to 366 days.

The aim is named participate in international training programs for the armed forces. In the fall of 2016 to exercise "Maple Arch - 2016" will be allowed up to 600 military personnel from Canada, Poland and Lithuania for up to 25 days. At the Sea Breeze 2016 exercises are allowed up to two thousand NATO troops with combat equipment, including 15 ships and five submarines, for up to 25 days.

Even before the two thousand troops from the US and NATO with five planes and 10 helicopters will fall to Ukraine in the summer of 2016 as part of the exercise Rapid Trident 2016.

In June 2015 the Verkhovna Rada has expanded the list of reasons for the presence of foreign troops on the territory of Ukraine. That base, in particular, called on the Ukrainian Government requested assistance in the form of an international peacekeeping and security on the basis of UN resolutions and the EU. At the same time, the law prohibits the stay in the country of soldiers, "who unleash an armed aggression against Ukraine".
