Baku – APA. "Berkut" riot police and internal troops dismantled barricades set up outside Presidential Administration, Cabinet of Ministers and Verkhovna Rada by the opposition in Kiev on December 10. APA reports quoting Ukrainian websites that shield-holding law enforcement officers removed barricades outside government buildings. They also removed tents.

Though serious clashes didn’t occur between protesters and law enforcement officers, Svoboda leader Oleg Tyagnibok said that some people were injured. The protest is going on at the Independence Square.

The US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton will visit Ukraine today. They will hold meetings with the government and opposition. A round-table meeting is likely to be held with the participation of President Viktor Yanukovych and opposition leaders in Kiev.
