Baku-APA.A passenger van collided with a vehicle in the southern Kazakh province of Kyzylorda on Wednesday, killing 10 people on board and injuring nine others, authorities said, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The van traveling to the South Kazakhstan Province crashed into the car going to the Kyzylorda City on a highway near Tartugay City at around 9:00 a.m. local time (0600 GMT), the provincial internal department of Kyzylorda Province said.
A total of 19 people were aboard the two vehicles and both drivers died on the scene, the department said, adding that eight of the injured were rushed to local hospitals for treatment.
An investigation into the cause of the deadly incident was underway.
