Baku – APA. Newly elected President Poroshenko will swear allegiance to the Ukrainian people in the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada on June 7. The ceremony will be attended by a number of countries’ heads of state and government and representatives of international organizations. APA reports quoting Ukrainian sources that the director of the informational policy department of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs Evgeny Perebynis said they have confirmed that heads of state and government of up to 20 countries will attend the ceremony. The diplomat said this is not the latest number yet, there’s a constant flow of information from foreign countries.
President of the Council of Europe Herman van Rompey, the Swiss President and Minister of Foreign Affairs, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Didier Bukhalter, OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zanyer, President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski, President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė, U.S. Vice-President Jo Bayden have confirmed their attendance at the inauguration.
The inauguration ceremony will be held at Kiev’s Sofia Square. Today the ceremony’s training took place at the square.
