Baku – APA. European integration supporters, who spent the night at the Independence Square in Kiev, marched towards the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada early today, APA reports quoting “Segodnya.ua”. Some protestors stayed outside the Cabinet of Ministers and others moved towards the Parliament.
Verkhovna Rada building was besieged by Berkut riot police. The protestors started to sing Ukrainian state anthem. They urged the police to support the people. Following this, the opposition started to deliver speeches. Former Interior Minister Yuriy Lusenko urged the police to serve Ukraine remaining faithful to their vows.
Verkhovna Rada will hold its next meeting today. A draft resolution of no confidence in the Cabinet led by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov will be considered at the meeting. On December 2, Ukraine's parliamentary committee on state building and local self-government recommended the Verkhovna Rada to back the draft resolution.
