One of â€œNew Armeniaâ€ movement sit-in participants detained

Baku-APA. Right after press-conference held by the “New Armenia” Public Salvation Front at Yerevan’s Liberty Square, the police detained the Front supporter Arsen Nikoghosyan without any reasons or grounds, APA reports quoting news.am.

At the moment of the incident, the activist was leaving the square following the end of the press-conference.

“New Armenia” Front representatives told that Nikoghosyan is a young man, who during the removal of the tent installed at the Liberty Square, demanded that the police present grounds on which they ban the sit-in participants to install tents at the square.

“New Armenia” requires from the police clarifications on the grounds of Arsen Nikoghosyan’s detention, as well as the immediate release of the activist.
