Human rights defender Leyla Yunus and her husband detained

According to lawyer, Leyla Yunus and her husband was detained at the Baku airport when they were going to have the Baku-Doha flight.

Leyla Yunus’ family was informed that search would be conducted in their apartment and office. Family members demanded to conduct all the acts via a lawyer.

Detainees have demanded Khalid Baghirov as their defender.

Khalid Baghirov has confirmed the information. He noted that he was at the airport but could not get any information and meet detainees. According to him they are still at the airport. “Law enforcement bodies are conducting a search in their baggage. Then a search will be conducted in the apartment and office,” said Khalid Baghirov

Fuad Aghayev is Rauf Mirgadirov’s defender. Mirgadirov is accused of cooperation with Armenian special services and was arrested while traveling from Istanbul to Baku. Leyla Yunus is one of the persons mentioned in this criminal case.

Leyla Yunus informed radio station "Voice of America": "Our luggage was searched; documents and computer were taken from us. Now our apartment and office will be searched out. "
