Shogurov said about 700 vehicles were involved in the demolition of 97 illegal commercial facilities the majority of which are located on underground communication lines.
The inspectorate stated that deadline for the voluntary demolition of illegal buildings expired on Feb. 8. The demolition works are underway near “Chistiye prudi”, “Taqanskaya”, “Åželkovskaya”, “Partizanskaya”, “Sokol” metro stations and on Lyusinovskaya, Marksistskaya streets. Illegal commercial facilities cover an area of 50,000 square meters.
Moscow authorities decided to demolish a total of 104 illegal facilities. The process will be completed by the end of February.
