When asked about possible talks between the Russian and US presidents, Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama, Peskov recalled the history of the current chill in Russia-US relations. "The thing is that Russia is not the one who initiated the current rollback of bilateral dialogue in a range of areas," he said. "Russia is not and has never been an initiator of the sanction oratory, neither in word nor in deed. Russia can only be sorry all this has been initiated by Washington."
