Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu - APA-Economics. Price rise in power, which caused confrontations in Armenia, and the promises on nationalization of “Electric Networks of Armenia” OJSC can make the Russia’s Inter RAO (owner of the OJSC) sell this enterprise, Kommersant newspaper reports quoting its sources, APA reports.
The source says that the Russian holding has already held talks with the Russian businessmen of Armenian origin, especially owner of Tashir Group Samvel Karapetyan.
“However, it’s not so easy to find new owner for “Electric Networks of Armenia” OJSC. Because, balanced price tariff caused “Electric Networks of Armenia” to be indebted. The protesters demand the budget not to compensate the damages”, the source says.
Russia’s Inter RAO did not comment on this issue.
However, the source confirms that the holding is ready to start negotiations with the potential buyers to sell the asset.
