Baku-APA. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Tuesday strongly condemned the attacks by the Russian troops on Ukraine's military units in Crimea, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
"Ukraine's Foreign Ministry sent a categorical protest to the Russian Foreign Ministry over the attacks by the Russian armed forces on the bases and facilities of the Ukrainian armed forces and the State Border Service," Foreign Ministry spokesman Eugene Perebiynis told reporters.
In the recent few days, Russian forces have seized a number of Ukrainian military and marine units and several ships of the Ukrainian Navy in Crimea, Perebiynis said.
He added that Russian troops have also taken away three Ukrainian senior military officials, who served their duties in Crimea.
Kiev demands Moscow to free the captured officers, stop aggressive actions against Ukrainian soldiers and withdraw Russian military forces from Crimea to start a dialogue on the ways out of the crisis, Perebiynis said.
