Director of Gyumri medical center Armen Isahakyan confirmed the report for news.am.

The protesters demand that Valery Permyakov, Russian serviceman accused in the murder of six people, must be brought to justice in Armenia.

Eight people received first aid, another four people, three of them police officers, have been transported to medical centers. Two of them are serious, the physician added.


Baku-APA. The police used special weapons against demonstrators at the Russian Consulate in Armenia’s second largest city of Gyumri, where a protest action continues. Information was confirmed for Armenian News - NEWS.am by representatives of law enforcement agencies, they but did not specify what kind of tools are applied, APA reports quoting news.am website.

The police formed a ring in front of the consulate, the demonstrators are constantly trying to break it. Stones are thrown on the police, and several people were injured in clashes.

Police confirmed that one person has been detained.
