Baku-APA. Russia’s gas giant Gazprom increased gas output by 0.1 percent in 2013, as compared to 2012, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller told reporters, adding that the company produced 487.4 billion cubic metres of gas in 2013, APA reports quoting Russian media.

The indicator exceeds the 2012 output by 400 million cubic metres, he said.

“We continued witnessing growing demand for Russian gas in Europe at the beginning of 2014,” Miller added.

“In 2013, Gazprom managed to achieve good results in its key indicators. Our production facilities allow us to extract 617 billion cubic metres of gas annually already now. Moreover, the reserve recovery rate has reached 1.328. Last year, Gazprom met Europe’s gas needs in full. We delivered 162.7 billion cubic metres of gas to the non-CIS countries, exceeding the 2012 volumes by over 16 percent,” Miller said.
