Former chief of Kyrgyz remand prison hangs himself

Baku – APA. Former chief of the Remand Prison – 50 Imankul Teltayev hung himself and was found in the morning of November 20 in a medical unit of the Remand Prison – 1. The man has been earlier detained, the press service of the State Penitentiary Service reports.

 

The corpse was discovered by a policeman on duty. Teltayev was placed in the Remand Prison – 1 on November 11, 2015. After arriving there, he complained about feeling sick and was delivered to the medical unit. He stayed alone there.

 

Imankul Teltayev was arrested because of serious shortcomings in his work within the criminal probe launched into the escape of dangerous prisoners from the Remand Prison – 50 and murder of four officers of the State Penitentiary Service.

 

9 prisoners escaped the named prison in the night of October 12 located in the village of Nizhny Nooruz of Chui region. Five of them were detained while escaping (three of them died from heart attacks on the same day). Four more managed to flee: three of them were later killed during the arrest; one was wounded and taken alive.
