Following Lukashenko, Nazarbayev also visits Ukraine

APA reports quoting 112.ua website that President of Ukrainian Petro Poroshenko and N. Nazarbayev have a meeting in Kiev.

Nazarbayev expressed his gratitude to Poroshenko for his clear position on the issue of territorial integrity of Ukraine. “I m very grateful to you for your resolute and continuous support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity”, he said.

The Kazakh president congratulated Ukraine for holding successful democratic elections and formation of a new government, adding that he will provide any kind of support for the restoration of economic cooperation between the two countries and acceleration of the peace process for resolution of Donbass problem. He expressed his readiness to join the peace process.

Nazarbayev will meet with Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

On December 21, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko visited Kiev. After the economic crisis in Russia, successive visits of heads of Belarus and Kazakhstan, the main partners of Moscow in the Eurasian Economic Union, are the focus of attention.
