Moscow. Farid Akbarov – APA. A meeting will take place today between Russian and Turkish Presidents Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin in St.Petersburg.
APA reports that the meeting is expected to give impetus to the Russian-Turkish relations following the eight-month crisis.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the presidents will exchange views at what pace and in what sequence the relations will be restored.
“This will be a historic visit, a fresh start. I believe that a new page will be opened during the negotiations with my friend Vladimir,” Erdogan told TASS news agency in an exclusive interview ahead of his state visit on Tuesday, adding that “there is yet much for our countries to do together.”
