Moscow. Farid Akbarov – APA. "A chance emerged to establish peace in Ukraine. With difficulties, but a ceasefire, a truce has been established," TASS quoted him as telling a meeting with foreign policy experts, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
The Russian FM said Moscow is in favor of restoring the activity of the Minsk Contact Group which is entitled to regulate the conflict in southeast Ukraine.
“Now it is important that we find a way to resume the meetings of the Contact Group between the representatives of the Ukrainian leadership and the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, with participation of Russia and the OSCE,” Lavrov said.
