Husyenov told APA that the visit aimed at checking the investigation regarding the acts of violence committed by law enforcement officials during the Maidan movement in late 2013 and early 2014 as well as the treatment with the persons arrested during the anti-terrorist operations in the east of Ukraine.
Moreover, the delegation conducted another monitoring in a number of prisons in Kharkov region in order to assess the states of prisoners.
The outcomes of the visit were thoroughly discussed at a meeting with Ukrainian Prosecutor-General Vitaly Yarema.
Latif Huseynov added that a report on the results of the monitoring will be prepared and submitted to the Ukrainian government.
