The minister’s son had attempted to smuggle drugs at the border, by keeping them in different parts of his body, but he was caught.
The Kapan police have detained Vardanyan junior, now, the case has been transferred to the capital city.
Yuri Vardanyan is trying ‘not to get involved’ in the incident with his son, to avoid public attention and criticisms.
The Sport and Youth Affairs minister’s spokesperson said he was not aware of such information: “The minister was busy, he is in meetings, and I could not verify anything.”
