Moskva. Farid Akbarov – APA. “I have made phone calls to all the regions. We have asked Azerbaijanis to show restraint and not to go restaurants,” said chairman of the Elders Council of the Federal National and Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijanis of Russia Abbas Abbasov in his interview to “Dozhd” TV channel, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.

“The events cause regret. Azerbaijanis living in Russia regret for the incidents and absolutely do not support suspect of murder Azerbaijani citizen Orkhan Zeynalov”.
Abbasov also commented on unrest around “Pokrov” fruit and vegetable base: “This base was not established today or yesterday. It functions for years. They are writing that the most parts of bazaars including fruit and vegetable base, belongs to Azerbaijanis. Once we were one single country. We used to live together. That country collapsed. Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan used to provide the Soviet Union with fruits and vegetables. Azerbaijan is not a new in this field. Azerbaijan is in this field since the Soviet Union”.
Abbas Abbasov commenting on Orkhan Aslanov’s case noted he didn’t come to Russia from the space. “He has passed border and customs. This is right of both countries to impose visa and provide security of their country. But, it is not correct to draw a line on everybody. If he has committed the crime, let it be proven and worthy punishment given to him. But it is not right to use it for other purposes. Rioters, who cause unrest, want to weaken Russia”.
