Baku – APA. The Russian State Duma has approved the drat law on the introduction of compulsory exam on the history of Russia, the Russian language and legislation for all foreign citizens who are going to receive residence and working permit in this country, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.
In order to get this permit, foreigners are to submit a relevant certificate or document (certificate or high school diploma) on education in USSR (until September 1, 1991). The certificate will be valid for 5 years from the date of issuance.
Highly skilled specialists, disabled people, persons under 18 and over 60 years, as well as countrymen who repatriated within the special program are free from the exam.
The law will come into force on January 1, 2015. The migrants, who have already received residence permit, will have to submit a certificate on renewal of their status.
Moreover, Russia has also approved the law which requires the migrants coming to Russia without visa and seeking employment to give certificates proving that they do not suffer from drug addiction or diseases dangerous for the public health.
