Baku-APA. At least 13 people were killed and three injured in a head-on collision between a light commercial vehicle (LCV) and a minibus in the Volga area, rescuers said on Sunday.
Those injured are in critical condition, Samara Region police spokesman Sergei Goldshtein said, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.
An investigation continues. According to initial reports, a Toyota minibus drove onto the oncoming lane and hit a Mercedes LCV en route from Kazakhstan.
Both vehicles fell into a roadside ditch and the minibus caught fire.
Rescue works are still under way on the site of the tragedy.
