At least 18 people were killed in a blast at a railway station in the city of Volgograd, central Russia, according to the regional government, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti. A female suicide bomber is suspected to have carried out the attack, says the National Anti-terrorism Committee.
"We have confirmation now that the number of dead has risen to 18 people, with a further 40 receiving injuries," said regional government spokesman.

10 died in explosion in Volgograd railway

The Russian Interior Ministry’s press service reported that 10 people died in the explosion.
The explosion reportedly occurred between the front door and the turnstile. Law-enforcement officers are investigating the site.
