"Putin's conversation with Witkoff was constructive, very useful and meaningful," said Yuri Ushakov, the Russian presidential aide for international affairs, during a statement on the results of the talks held in the Kremlin, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
He emphasized that there is still much work to be done and continued his words as follows:
"No compromise has been reached yet. A meeting between the leaders of Russia and the United States is not currently planned. We discussed the essence, not specific expressions and solutions. The parties see great prospects for cooperation."
Ushakov also spoke about the US peace proposal regarding Ukraine. He said that Russia is ready to agree to something in this proposal.
"Something in the proposal has caused criticism. However, a useful discussion took place," he said.
Ushakov noted that Vladimir Putin conveyed his greetings to Trump through Uitkoff, as well as a number of political signals.
