The United States and Armenia have announced the launch of a joint working group to implement the “Trump Route,” APA reports, citing Armenian media.
According to the report, the working group will be led by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Sonata Coulter.
U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison M. Hooker presented the details of the working group during her meeting with Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan.
According to her, U.S.–Armenia cooperation, as well as progress in normalising Armenia–Azerbaijan and Armenia–Türkiye relations, “creates new prospects for opening the South Caucasus as an important trade route.”
