Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said on Tuesday that Ukraine's total losses from the start of the conflict with Russia have reached $1 trillion, APA reports citing Teletrader.
He added Ukraine will have a more accurate estimate after property losses are documented in an official register.
"The losses, calculated indirectly, taking into account the losses in the coming years - amount to more than a trillion dollars," Shmyhal told Interfax Ukraine. The damage to public buildings, housing, civilian and military infrastructure amounts to over $270 billion, according to rough estimates. In addition, Ukraine's gross national product (GDP) is expected to plummet by 35% or more in 2022, the prime minister said.
