Flights at airports in southern Russia have been suspended until May 12, the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) said, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
The agency also stated that this period may be shortened.

The Ukrainian army carried out a drone strike on the administrative building of the “South Russia Air Navigation” branch, APA reports, citing the Russian Ministry of Transport.
As a result of the attack, the operations of 13 airports in southern Russia were suspended.
“The operations of the airports in Astrakhan, Vladikavkaz, Volgograd, Gelendzhik, Grozny, Krasnodar, Makhachkala, Magas, Mineralnye Vody, Nalchik, Sochi, Stavropol and Elista have been temporarily suspended,” the statement said.
It was reported that specialists are currently assessing the operational condition of the equipment and making adjustments to flight schedules.
