"Nobody wants conflict, but the threat of a nuclear war is there all the time," said Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, APA reports citing RIA Novosti.
He noted that in connection with this threat, it is important to pursue a responsible policy.
According to Medvedev, despite the cynicism of such statements, the creation of nuclear weapons has indeed prevented a huge number of conflicts.
"At the same time, the fact that NATO countries are always aimed at Russian facilities, and domestic warheads at targets in Europe and the United States, is a long-known fact," added deputy chairman of the Security Council.
