A number of streets and avenues in the Russian capital have been closed on the occasion of the arrival of Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara in Moscow, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
Leninsky Prospekt, Borovitskaya Square, the Kremlin embankment, the inner side of the Moscow Ring Road, the Kyiv highway and other roads in the capital have been closed.
Videos reflecting the movement of the Syrian leader's motorcade through the streets of Moscow have been posted on social networks. The streets are seen as being closed in those images.
Note that Ahmed al-Shara will be received by Russian President Vladimir Putin today. According to the Kremlin, during the talks, the heads of state will discuss the current state and development prospects of bilateral relations in the trade, economic, and humanitarian spheres, as well as the Middle East agenda.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the fate of Russian military bases in Syria will also be a topic of discussion during the talks.
