"Impact on Russian partners for its isolation continues," Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said at the meeting of the defense ministers of the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
According to him, the US and collective West put unprecedented pressure on independent states by using blackmail and disinformation.
Shoigu has noted that a role of the SCO as a power center is increasing in the background of the turbulent international situation: "Dangers are strengthening in the SCO countries, as well as in the whole world, local crises do not slow down, new serious challenges appear."
Russian Defense Minister has stressed that the independent course of SCO member states in resolution of regional and global security issues is an example for the whole world: "It is suggested to hold a meeting of defense ministers of friend countries, as well as SCO and CIS member states in December to discuss coalition security."
