Sanctions against Russia pose serious risks to the Armenian economy, said President of Armenia Vahagn Khachatryan, APA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.
He said sanctions could create uncontrollable risks.
"We can predict some of the consequences of sanctions, but a full assessment is not possible. We must prepare our system, our financial sector to serve ordinary citizens, and those who moved and tried to start a business here. "
He added that the situation could change dramatically and cause unequivocal damage to Armenia's financial system.
Khachatryan believes that the negative impact of external factors on the country's economy will remain until the end of the year.
