Russia appreciates Ankara's responsible approach to compliance with the obligations of the Montreux Convention Regarding the Regime of the Straits, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in his speech at the meeting with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
"Surely, we see and appreciate Ankara's responsible approach to compliance with the obligations of the Montreux Convention Regarding the Regime of the Straits," Russian FM said.
In addition to the situation in Ukraine, Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart will discuss the situation in Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, and the South Caucasus: "Our bilateral agenda is extremely rich. We will pay special attention to the preparation of the next meeting of the Russian-Turkish High-Level (“Strategic”) Cooperation Councils (HLSCC), which our leadership has agreed to hold the meeting in Turkey. I am sure that we will agree on the date of the meeting in the current situation. Welcome again!"
