Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke by phone with the President of Uzbekistan, APA reports citing Kremlin website.
During their telephone conversation, the Russian leader and Mirziyoyev focused on cooperation in the energy sector and discussed the further development of Russian-Uzbek relations and strategic partnership.
Putin and Mirziyoyev also noted the importance of interregional cooperation in strengthening trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian ties.
The two leaders also emphasized the practical impact of the meeting of the Council of Regions of Russia and Uzbekistan held in the Moscow Region in October.
