Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, APA’s Moscow bureau reports, citing Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
Peskov noted that the Kremlin will release information about the call shortly. “Mr. Orban himself indicated his intention to speak with Putin. The call has taken place,” the spokesperson added.
According to the Kremlin, during the conversation, Putin briefed Orban on the main points of his discussion with U.S. President Donald Trump.
Hungarian Prime Minister Orban stated in Budapest that Hungary is ready to facilitate a possible Russia-U.S. summit.
Putin also noted that he plans to discuss future steps to resolve the situation in Ukraine with U.S. representatives.
