Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, APA's Moscow bureau reports, citing the Kremlin press service.
During the phone conversation, a number of practical issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed in the context of preparations for the upcoming state visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Russia.
The presidents reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the Russian-Kazakh strategic partnership and alliance, and to the consistent implementation of joint projects in the trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
