Investigation into the plot to murder Margarita Simonyan, a russian journalist of Armenian origin, has been completed, Svetlana Petrenko, the official representative of the Russian Investigative Committee, announced, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to her, during the investigation it was revealed that those accused of planning Simonyan’s murder had agreed to commit the crime in exchange for 50,000$.
It should be noted that in 2023, the Russian Federal Security Service announced that they had apprehended individuals planning the murder of Simonyan, the editor-in-chief of the "Russia Today" channel.
