Employees of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) seized about 700 kg of cocaine worth more than 2.5 billion rubles, APA reports citing TellerReport.
Three foreigners - citizens of Colombia and one of the EU states - arrived in Russia specifically for a multi-stage drug campaign. At the end of March in St. Petersburg, the police seized more than 200 kg of Latin American cocaine. According to experts, the wholesale value of the seized batch on the Russian black market exceeds 2.4 billion ruble. The seized batch was delivered to Moscow and placed in a warehouse.
"When detained red-handed, 699 kg of cocaine was found in the cartel members who arrived in Russia," the report said.
