The momentum generated by the Alaska meeting regarding the settlement of Ukraine has already run out, said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
He also spoke about the possibility of Washington providing Ukraine with "Tomahawk" cruise missiles.
He noted that Russia calls on the United States to take a sober and sensible approach to the issue of supplying "Tomahawk" missiles to Ukraine: "The use of "Tomahawk" missiles and their launchers is possible only with the direct participation of American personnel. The appearance of these missiles in Ukraine will lead to a significant change in the situation, but will not affect Russia's ability to achieve its goals."
Ryabkov also said that Russia has not received an official response from the United States to the START Treaty initiative on the reduction and limitation of strategic offensive arms. According to him, this proposal does not interest the United States, and Moscow will act without a response from Washington. The diplomat said that there is no talk of extending the START Treaty here.
