Russian Foreign Ministry calls military aid agreement between Zelenskyy and Macron historic fraud

Volodymyr Zelensky and French President Emmanuel Macron’s agreements on military assistance to Ukraine are nothing but one of the biggest frauds in modern history, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova during today’s briefing, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.

She recalled that on November 17, Emmanuel Macron and Volodymyr Zelensky signed an agreement at the Villacoublay Air Base in the Paris region on military aid to Kyiv, including the supply of 100 French-made Rafale fighter jets to the Ukrainian army.

“Zelensky rushed to call the document historic. I think that, in principle, he is partly right. In my opinion, this is a document that will go down in history. It can hardly even be called an agreement. Apparently, one of the biggest frauds in modern history is coming. The Kyiv regime still has no money for such a major purchase, which could cost twenty billion euros, and Paris does not have the claimed amount of equipment. So, it is an interesting virtual deal. One side has no money, the other has no goods, but they have agreed on something for the future,” the Russian MFA spokesperson said.
