The main objective of the operation in Ukraine is to protect the Russian Federation from threats from the West, Russian Defense Minister General Sergei Shoigu said, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
According to him, the Russian Army will continue a special military operation in Ukraine until it achieves its goals.
The minister said that the Ukrainian side deploys a large number of rocket launchers, weapons, and mortars in the yards of residential buildings, near schools, and kindergartens, and uses civilians as human shields.
