A meeting of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan took place in Uzbekistan's Samarkand, APA reports citing press service of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mirzoyan and Lavrov highlighted the importance of increasing efforts in all directions of normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations according to the tripartite agreements, and they agreed on future contacts on bilateral relations.

It was reported that the bilateral meeting was organised seperatedly during the meeting of Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS.
