Russia will not participate in the talks with Ukraine in Istanbul on November 19, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, if Steve Witkoff or Ankara representatives want to inform Russia about the results of their talks with Zelensky, Putin is open to talks.
Note that tomorrow, talks on Ukraine will be held in Türkiye with the participation of Volodymyr Zelensky and the US President's special representative Steve Witkoff.
"Russia remains open to the negotiation process; Moscow's position is well known to the US, Türkiye, and Ukraine. If they consider it necessary for Witkoff or Turkish government representatives to provide information about the meetings in Istanbul, Putin is open to discussions. At present, there are no concrete plans for Putin's contacts with Witkoff or Turkish government representatives," the Kremlin spokesman stressed.
