The United States did not inform Russia about its plans to resume nuclear tests prior to statements made by former U.S. President Donald Trump, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov made the remarks while commenting on Trump’s claim that the U.S. would conduct nuclear tests.
Peskov emphasized that if any country withdraws from the moratorium on nuclear testing, Russia will respond accordingly.
He also noted that tests of the Burevestnik missile are not considered nuclear tests and therefore are not subject to any moratorium.
