State border of the Russian Federation has been attempted to be violated by a group of people from the territory of Ukraine, press service of Russia's Southern Military District has announced to journalists, APA's bureau in Russia reports.
"On 21 February 2022 at about 6 am Moscow time, on a section of the state border between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Ukraine in the area of the settlement of Mityakinskaya, Rostov Region, a conflict has occurred. As a result, five Ukrainian servicemen have been killed," the Southern Military District said.
Russian troops and border guards did not suffer any casualties, according to the military.
The Ukrainian side has denied the information, disseminated by Russia, and declared that there have not been servicemen in that territory.
