Russia is ready to adhere to the restrictions on the reduction and reduction of strategic offensive arms - the START treaty for another year after its expiration, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
He noted that the United States must also adopt the same position for Russia to extend compliance.
Peskov added that Russian President Vladimir Putin has not discussed this idea in detail with his American counterpart, Donald Trump, but a reminder on the matter has been made.
