Russian armed forces launched a ballistic missile attack on Ukraine's capital Kyiv during the daytime, UNIAN reports.
According to the report, the Ukrainian Air Force said several high-speed targets were heading toward the capital, and explosions were heard in the city shortly afterward.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said air defense forces were operating and urged residents to remain in shelters.
According to monitoring groups, Russia launched at least 10 ballistic missiles toward Kyiv, including Zircon missiles.
No official information has yet been released regarding the consequences of the attack, damage, or casualties.
