“We welcome normalization of the relations between Yerevan and Ankara,” said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
“This should help reinforce the situation in our common region,” stressed Russian FM.
Speaking about regional cooperation in the South Caucasus, the successful launch of the 3+2 platform, Lavrov noted that this platform creates additional opportunities for the establishment of the dialogue and multi-plan cooperation: “Our general position is that this platform creates additional opportunities for establishment and development of dialogue among all countries of the South Caucasus and their neighbors. We have confirmed our interest in Georgia joining this perspective format.”
